Student Activities & Leadership Development

With over 70 active student organizations on campus, our students participate in a wide variety of opportunities that enhance their university experience. Students build personal relationships and develop leadership skills that transfer to the workforce as they participate actively, grow personally, and explore new ideas and interests. From Spring Event and Stageless Players to everything in between, the Office of Student Activities and Leadership coordinates these organizations, activities, and programs. Students and alumni often attribute their love of Western New England University and their personal growth to the student leader roles they held.

"I had the pleasure of working the annual Spring Event three times. My first two years, I served on the box office committee. My third year I interviewed for the Marketing Coordinator position and was lucky enough to be chosen. As a Marketing major, this was an incredible and invaluable experience. I learned how to assemble and lead a committee of my peers, budget responsibly, and diligently plan then execute a marketing campaign. The role challenged me creatively, taught me skills I couldn’t learn in my marketing classes, and proved to be an excellent addition to my resume. I later shared the experience in interviews which helped me land a great job after graduation. I am truly grateful for the opportunities Spring Event afforded me!"  - D'Naysia Stonick '19

Your Impact - Our Goal

As Western New England University celebrates our Centennial year, we invite supporters to give $100 in honor of our 100th anniversary. A gift of $100 will provide student leaders with resources for diverse and engaging programming, as well as personal leadership development opportunities throughout the academic year.

With a goal of 50 donors making a gift of $100, we can ensure students have access to invaluable leadership development opportunities and activities that will enhance their student experience and help them succeed well beyond graduation.

Help us succeed!

Here's how you can help us reach our goal and leave a lasting impact:

  • Be a champion of philanthropy by making a gift here online or by mailing a check. Be sure to note "Student Activities & Leadership" in the memo line
  • Promote this project through your personal and professional networks to encourage even more support and participation. The more people who know about it, the more likely we are to reach our goal!
  • Share your own student leadership experiences-- the memories you made, the friends you met, and the skills you learned. Share on social media @WNEalumni or email us alumwne@wne.edu
