We're raising $5,000 to fund our Jackrabbit advertising team's trip to nationals!

We’ve had an outstanding turnout in this year’s American Advertising Federation National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC)! Our team took home first place at the AAF District 8 competition on April 12 and advanced to the semi-finals on May 8. At this competition, we competed with 18 other district winners to advance to finals. We ranked in the top eight, so we are on our way!

We would like to have our entire team experience this national competition and greatly appreciate your contribution to help make this happen!

We are a dedicated team of thirteen advertising majors graduating this spring, summer or fall. We are ready to launch our advertising careers and know participating in the NSAC provides invaluable experience with an industry-sponsored challenge.

We developed a mock $25-million campaign to change perceptions and increase primary demand of hot dogs for NSAC sponsor, Wienerschnitzel. The hard work began fall semester with marketing research and continued through spring semester when the team submitted its campaign strategies in a plans book and 20-minute pitch.

We can’t wait to share our recommendations and see how the other winning teams approached the challenge.

Where will the money go?

Your donation will contribute to transportation, lodging, and the awards dinner for our students. We think it will cost $800-900 per student for these expenses. 

The team's digital campaign was awarded "Best Digital Strategy" at districts. Your donation will help Hannah and Carissa, digital team leaders, and other students go to Admerica 2019. 


Calling all past SDSU NSACers! We are following in the footsteps of almost 30 SDSU NSAC teams. We compete yearly in the AAF District 8 competition and are proud of our rankings among schools in Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota and Wisconsin. 

This is the fourth time SDSU is taking a national stage at the NSAC competition. The Wienerschnitzel team follows Visa in 1992, Yahoo! in 2005, and Tai Pei in 2017. The NSAC is a big part of our advertising program.

We've heard a few legendary tales about past teams! We'd love to hear your take about working late nights in Yeager Hall!

Alexandra's double major in advertising and communication studies is a great combo for presenters. She won a "Top Presenter" award at districts. We're ready to present at nationals!
