Every year, the University of Leicester Chorus has put on a Christmas Concert. We aim to continue this tradition by seeking funding to cover the costs of hosting the concert.
Chorus is a community choir, open to all people of all abilities with over 50 active members from all walks of life - Undergraduates to University staff all are welcome!!
Music, as an extra-curricular activity which brings people together, improves well-being and fosters friendships between the various participants. We believe in an inclusive environment where everybody can sing together, and where our performers (many of whom haven't performed before joining Chorus!) can have fun belting out hits like Mamma Mia!
The proceeds of this project will all go towards the Christmas Concert, and be spent accordingly:
- The hire of the venue, Clarendon Congregational Church: £120
- The payment of our professional voice coach in preparation of the concert: £450
- A contribution towards our loyal pianist for her time: £200
- The hire and/or purchase of music for us to learn: £220
This comes out to a total of £990 for us to be able to host this wonderful concert!
