We are seeking to raise funds to support undergraduate and graduate students in the Harris College of Nursing & Health Sciences who have a goal of participating in a faculty-led study abroad course during the summer of 2020. Student opportunities for study abroad this coming summer include Ghana, China, Ireland & England, and Italy.

The academic units within Harris College - Communication Sciences & Disorders, Kinesiology, Nurse Anesthesia, Nursing, and Social Work - are home to more than 1,600 students who are supported by committed and talented faculty & staff.

why support our global initiative

A major strategic initiative of Harris College is to foster a World Class Learning Environment. An important goal related to this initiative is to support student global experiences. Each year our college offers faculty-led study abroad experiences for Harris College students. The greatest barrier to student participation in these amazing courses is cost - fees, which include tuition, can be $8,000 or greater. Your gift will help us support students with demonstrated financial need. Help us create a Harris College edge for these students!

    Where will the money go?

    Gifts will go directly to student support. Our goal is to be able to support up to 4 students at $2,500 each. These funds support student costs associated with study abroad courses, which include:

    • Tuition
    • Round trip airfare
    • Course fee
    • Food while abroad
