OUR PROJECT

At Hedon Primary School we love technology! We use iPads, computers, interactive whiteboards and the internet across the curriculum, not just in Computing lessons.

However, our Bee-Bots are in a terrible state. One has even lost its charger lead!

Bee-bots and Blue-Bots have a simple and child-friendly layout - a perfect starting point for teaching control, directional language and programming. The older children would like something more age appropriate to develop their coding skills – Sphero fits the bill! Sphero Edu app opens up a world of possibilities and is a great introduction to the basics of programming with JavaScript.

We would like to buy a set of 6 rechargeable Blue-Bots and 3 Sphero minis.

This is for our whole school, and can be incorporated into a range of subjects.

Using resources such as Blue-Bots and Sphero ensures that learning is relevant and engaging. Using physical resources such as these means that pupils see a real life reaction to their coding and programming, rather than just an image on the screen.
