My Mission

This year I felt impressed to go out and tithe my time to God as a student missionary. After much prayer, I have decided to go to Pucallpa, Peru for 9 months to work with a physical therapist by helping rehabilitate children at an orphanage run by AMOR Projects. During my time there, I hope to make a positive impact on the children by helping them grow physically, mentally, and spiritually everyday. In order to make all of this possible, I will need to raise at least $5,200 before I leave to help support the Student Missions program. All donations small or large will be much appreciated, and are also TAX DEDUCTIBLE! I also ask that you would keep me in each of your prayers as I take this next big step in my life, and pray that I will continue to grow closer to God and gain a better understanding of Him, so in return I will be able to bring others closer to him too.

About Me

For those who may not know me, my name is Jordan McCullough, I'm 24 years old, and I recently graduated from Southern Adventist University with a BS in Health Science. When I return from Peru, I plan on continuing my education with an end goal of becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy.

My story

Like I previously stated, this September I will be leaving to Peru as a student missionary for 9 months. During my time there, I will be working with a Physical Therapist (and helping with whatever else needs to be accomplished like farming, construction, evangelism, etc.) to help the children in that area grow physically, mentally, and spiritually. The main reason why I am going, is because I believe that this is the next step in my spiritual journey, that God has been leading me to through prayer and divine intervention.

This is very important and exciting for me, because I firmly believe that this is what God has called us to do, and now I have been given the opportunity to live out his word, and not only lead others closer to Him, but also allow myself to grow and be lead closer to God.

I am sure that many of you would love to have the opportunity to go abroad and help others around the world, but due to other obligations and responsibilities, you lack the time to do so. FEAR NOT, because there are many ways to help others and serve. For those who are not able to "GO", you still have the opportunity to "GIVE". Without "GIVERS" there probably wouldn't be any "GO'ERS", because mission work is all non-profit and needs funding to back it. This is where YOU come in. Since I am going to be a "Go'er", I will need "Givers" to help fund my trip, and what better way to show God how thankful you are to Him for blessing you with all you have, then by giving back a little of what he has given to you.

Where will the money go?

It's always nice to know where your money goes and how it will be used so I'll tell you. Since I will not be getting paid and will have to pay for my own food and other expenses while I am away for 9 months, part of the $5,200 will go towards that. The other part will go towards the plane ticket to Peru and back home, and the visa required to enter the country.

Another benefit of helping me reach my goal is that all your donations are tax deductible. I have posted the the giving policy below if there are any questions regarding that.

Last but not least, YOU DON'T NEED MONEY TO HELP! Please share this project with anyone and everyone you think would be interested in helping me reach my goal - on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkdin, by email, phone, in a conversation with your neighbor, or even by snail mail. All donations are greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance for all your support, and please keep me in your prayers as I prepare to leave on this mission trip.
