Central Saint Martins MA Innovation Management is a business degree, designed by philosophers, taught within an art school tradition. Our cohort comprises 23 students, from nine different countries, from backgrounds as diverse as fine art, law, weaving, architecture, consultancy, fashion, marketing and jewellery design. We work cooperatively as well as independently, to explore and experiment, map and plan. We are therefore comfortable operating in complex, liminal spaces, where simplistic notions of 'problem solving' are inadequate. Our degree show is the culmination of two years’ work.
A concern is not about anxiety but a catalyst for a call to action. This action requires a new kind of framework, which we will present at our degree show. The Reshaping Framework of Innovation Management is a different kind of framework because whatever your concern, whether social, economic, cultural or environmental, it needs reshaping to fit the future. Our framework can help find a concern, frame it, and harness its opportunities.
The framework contains eight movements: The Chameleon, The Hinge, The Kite, The Loop, The Magnet, The Pixel, The Star and The Pollinator. Which movements are the most beneficial approaches to your concern? Let us demonstrate...
Our Degree Show will present the research of each of our cohort, using the framework of our eight movements. During the show we will host a unique event: a workshop that enables participants to interact with these movements and explore new approaches of dealing with concerns.
