We are the Master of Fine Art course at Kingston School of Art, Kingston University, London. We are hoping to raise £1,500 for our final degree show and its accompanying community engagement and enrichment programme!
The Master of Fine Art course at Kingston School of Art is proud to announce that we will be presenting a final exhibition in August-September 2019!
This year, the general public is invited to enjoy the work of postgraduate students who have spent the past two years researching and refining their practices. The MFA postgraduates have created ambitious plans to engage the community in art education and enrichment by running an exciting events programme around the show.
The proposed events will include a private view, family workshops, artist talks, themed seminars, and much more at Swan Studios, across from the Stanley Picker Gallery.
However, putting on a degree show and events programme is not an easy task and requires funding to fulfil our vision of an engaging community outreach event. The goal of the exhibition would not only be to promote creativity and education in the arts for the community but also to support emerging artists’ efforts to expand the meaning of an art exhibition.
Should we meet our minimum fundraising goal, all the funds will support printing costs, which comprise of artist and event publications, invitations for the private view, as well as advertising (posters and postcards).
If we manage to hit our target of £1,500, the printing costs will be covered in addition to the costs of the private view, the planned events programme, and the payment for an artist of our choice to present a public artist talk on their work and their place in the contemporary art world.

We will give monthly updates to the sponsors via our fundraising page as well as our Instagram account.
We have various rewards for the several donor levels! We will send our donors postcards of artwork designed by the students of the course, and, for larger donors, include them on a donors list to be displayed in the space throughout the duration of the exhibition and ensuing events and the opportunity to receive an edition of our limited-run publication.
Following are images of work created by these student artists as well as their work in past exhibitions, within the exhibition space we will be utilising for the final degree show.
You can find us on our fundraising website at ksamfa.wixsite.com/ducksintheswan or at our Instagram @ducksintheswan. You can follow our progress and our work there!
Please help us achieve our goal of a fulfilling and exciting final hurrah from Kingston School of Art by sharing with your friends and family our ambitious programme. The more people who get involved, the more people we can influence in our outreach. Please sponsor us to help us achieve our artistic vision!
