Who WE are

குலொஸ்ரசெயாரில் உள்ள ஆசிய குழந்தைகளின் தொண்டு அமைப்பு. இவர்கள் வருடாவருடம் அவர்களின் சுயமுயற்சியின் பேரில் நிதி திரட்டி இலங்கை, இந்தியா, பிரித்தானியாவில் உள்ள தொண்டு நிறுவனங்களுக்கு அன்பளிப்பு செய்கின்றனர்

our story

இலண்டன் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் 1916 முதல் இருபது மொழிகளுள் ஒன்றாக நமது தாய்மொழியாம் தமிழ் மொழி கற்பிக்கப்பட்டு வந்தது. தமிழ் மொழிக்கென்று ஒரு நெடுங்கால வைப்புநிதி இல்லாததால், இரண்டாயிரமாம் ஆண்டுக்கு பிற்பகுதியில் இந்த தமிழ்த்துறை இயங்காமல் உள்ளது. இந்த தமிழ்த்துறை மீண்டு அமைவதால், இலண்டன் பல்கலைக்கழகத்திலும் தமிழ் அரியணை ஏறும். மேலும், ஐக்கிய இராச்சியம் மட்டுமல்லாமல், மலேசியா, சிங்கப்பூர் போன்ற நாடுகளில் இருந்து இருந்து இலண்டனில் பல்வேறு படிப்புகளுக்கும் வரும் நமது பிள்ளைகள், தமிழை ஒரு பல்கலைக்கழக பாடமாக தங்கள் படிப்புகளில் படித்து, அதன் மதிப்பெண்களையும் தான் படித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கும் துறைகளில் சேர்க்க முடியும்.மேலும் இலண்டன் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் இளங்கலை, முதுகலை மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சிப் படிப்புகளை தமிழை முதன்மைப்படுத்தி படிக்க முடியும் என்பதால், உலகளாவிய தமிழ்க்கல்விப் பணிகளை பல நாடுகளுக்கும் எடுத்துச் செல்ல முடியும். எனவே, மலேசியாவில் வாழும் தமிழர்கள், இந்த தமிழ்த்துறைக்கு தங்களால் இயன்ற நன்கொடைகளை வழங்கி, தமிழ்த்துறை வைப்புநிதியில் உங்கள் பெயரையும், வாழ்த்து செய்தியையும் இணைக்குமாறு அன்போடு அழைக்கிறோம்.

Tamil Studies at SOAS

As one of the South Asian languages originally taught at SOAS University of London when it was founded in 1916, the School has a long and renowned position within Tamil Studies. Many leading figures in the field have been based at SOAS, both academics and students; whilst the famous statue of the Tamil poet Thiruvalluvar at the entrance is a globally familiar symbol of the School. Working in partnership with the SOAS South Asia Institute, TamilStudiesUK is a community-driven initiative to bring Tamil Studies back to SOAS. Aiming to raise funds for a Tamil Department based within Languages Cultures and Linguistics, TamilStudiesUK are hosting a range of events, talks and debates featuring academics, writers, artists and musicians.
