‘The Widow’ is an ambitious short film based in the Department of Theatre, Film and Television at the University of York.The film is a Faustian tale revolving around Maria, a woman whose life is broken by the untimely loss of her husband. Overcome by misery and desperation, she makes an unholy pact to have her husband returned to her. When her loved one returns however, she finds there are consequences when meddling with death.We are a group of passionate students who feel the need to bring this film to life. Our crew is experienced in film production and is devoted to creating a visually stunning and emotionally moving story, inspired by German Expressionism. All that remains is to begin production; and that’s where we need your help.
