UWE Comets Cheerleading is a competitive cheerleading squad based in Bristol. We are a fun and athletic group that are determined to win! At BCA Nationals last year, our level 4 squad came 1st and our level 2 squad came 4th out of 22!!
With the increased popularity of cheerleading in the UK, we have found our membership has doubled in recent years. However, so have the costs!!
The substantial budget cuts within our SU has meant that we received very little funding this year but we have done an outstanding job so far, having raised nearly £9000 to fund our competitions in Loughborough and Newport.
How will the funds be spent?
BCA Nationals Telford is from 5th-6th April and due to the exorbitant costs of coaches and accomodation, we are still a fair way away (£2000) from being able to afford it!!
Please please sponsor us; all our girls spend so much time and energy fundraising whilst juggling practice and a degree!! Despite our best efforts, we are in danger of having to pull out of the competition!!
