The aim of the scholarship

Victor Ceserani a keen advocate of developing the minds and talents of young students, worked tirelessly to promote the Hospitality Industry as a worthwhile and rewarding career choice. His passion and understanding of vocational skills education and concern for attracting students to the Hospitality Industry allowed him to be widely referred to as “one of the UK's most inspirational catering educators” and is still much respected by the industry

Our story

The Covid-19 pandemic and Brexit have had a huge impact on the Hospitality industry and Hospitality Education destabilising businesses, the financial security of families and the already challenging issue of student recruitment into the Industry.

The effects include loss of jobs and income which unfortunately has hindered the ability for many students to study or purchase essential equipment for their chosen hospitality courses and has lead to the increase of the number of applicants asking about assistance with funding and the number will continue to rise over the coming months, so we need your help!

A personal friend and mentor to many still currently working in the industry, he has inspired many of our industry leaders and The Victor Ceserani Student Memorial Scholarship has been set up to ensure his legacy lives on through students benefiting from financial assistance.

Your contribution to The Victor Ceserani Student Memorial Scholarship will help students take their first step towards a fulfilling career in the Hospitality Industry by overcoming the challenges faced in paying fees or for uniform and equipment that has resulted due to the current situation.

As short term result you will:

  • Provide financial assistance towards course fees or equipment
  • Enable students to study on a UK Hospitality Course
  • Allow for students to continue their education on-site or remotely if necessary due to further lockdowns or self isolation.

In the longer term we acknowledge other needs may come to light but until we know your support will help:

  • Inspire future Hospitality Industry professionals
  • Enable students to establish their skills, refine their knowledge and with time, to pass this on to others in the Industry and inspire the next generation in their turn
  • Establish links with plinks with professionals currently employed in the industry to encourage and inspire students

 Where will the money go?

  • Our target audience is young people between the ages of 16 to 24 years old in the UK
  • Our goal is to help students, start and continue their education and career in the Hospitality Industry.

The main purpose is to provide financial assistance in the form of either full or part bursaries of up to £2000 to students accepted on recognised Hospitality courses in the UK to go towards fees or equipment for students facing some financial difficulties.

Joanna Aunon " Let's show our passion for helping young people, from all backgrounds, to progress in this incredible industry. I encourage everyone to get involved and make a difference to a young person's career!

Your generous gift - no matter how small - will help students facing financial crisis wherever they are in the country. Examples of how far your money will go:

  • £20 can provide a student with essential equipment needed for their course
  • £40 could help a student purchase a textbook needed for class
  • £50 could help cover some uniform essentials
  • £300 covers most of a first years kit for a hospitality course
  • £600 can provide a student with a laptop which is essential nowadays
  • £1000 will provide a significant amount towards fees
  • £2000 will go to a specific student, whose journey you can follow during the year

As a way of showing our appreciation your generous support will be acknowledged on our social media and regular updates on the many students you have helped in some way will be posted.

Lets start inspiring, lets continue Victor’s work and help students on their adventure in the Hospitality Industry!
