The WNE Alternative Spring Break (ASB) Program is currently raising funds for our upcoming service trip. We are looking to raise $2,000 in order to offset the costs associated with traveling to Memphis, Tennessee to work with Living Lands and Water. We need your help!
The Alternative Spring Break (ASB) Program consists of a diverse group of undergraduate students who volunteer to give up their Spring Break to serve others, representing all class years and a variety of majors across the University. In previous years, ASB has traveled to cities across the country including Des Moines, IA, Beaumont,TX (Hurricane Harvey Relief), and New Orleans, LA (Hurricane Katrina Relief). This year we are headed to Memphis, TN!
Our trip begins on March 14, 2020 and concludes March 20. Living Lands & Waters is a 501(c)(3) environmental organization, headquartered in East Moline, IL, that was established by Chad Pregracke in 1998. Since the organization was founded, Living Lands & Waters has grown to be the only “industrial strength” river cleanup organization like it in the world. The focus of the organization is to aid in the protection, preservation, and restoration of the natural environment of the nations’ major rivers and their watersheds, expand awareness of environmental issues, and create a desire and an opportunity for stewardship and responsibility for a cleaner river environment.
Every donation goes directly toward offsetting the costs of travel for the students who are dedicating their Spring Break to learn from and serve this amazing organization. Every donation will get the students one step closer to being able to make an impact. Please note funds do not go to a specific participant, but to the entire group as a whole.

Any size donation is immensely appreciated, as is the sharing of this page! Whether through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, word of mouth, or neighborly chit-chat at your local dog park, the more people who know, the better!
Thank you in advance for any type of help you can provide. This trip will not be possible without you!
