Waterfoot Primary School prepares children for a successful and satisfying life in the 21st Century. We seek to ensure that within the school, both adults and children will learn together and that each individual will reach their full potential.
At Waterfoot Primary School we think for ourselves and feel for others.
We want to buy some Robots for the children to see all their hard work in action. The robots we are looking at are called Dot and Dash.
These robots will benefit children from years three to six who currently work on programming on the computers using programs such as Tynker and Scratch.
Dash & Dot are exciting, hands-on learning tools for students in primary school.
They're targeted at teaching creative problem solving, coding, and robotics - and they give every student a head start on fundamental STEM principles and 21st century skills. Students send commands to the robots to move them, light them up, and have them detect the world around them using 5 free coding and robotics apps.
The Dot and Dash will help us cover the following key areas:
If we raise our minimum target, we will buy:
1x Dash and Dot Robot single pack @ £263.94
Credit card fees @ 2%: £5.28
Total: £269.22
If we raise our maximum target, instead we will
1x Dash and Dot Robot six pack @ £1,499.64

Credit card fees @ 2% = £29.99
Grand total = £1,529.63

Technology advances so quickly now that we no longer know what jobs we are preparing children for in the future. Therefore it is vital that we grasp these opportunities to help children develop analytical and problem solving skills, whilst teaching key objectives from the curriculum.
