I would love to raise £20000 to help me fund my degree. I've recently been accepted to the MA programme in Illustration at the University of the Arts London, Camberwell College of Arts. My portfolio is defined by an interest of storytelling, print, moving image and observational drawing. My objective is to develop my multidisciplinary background as it could open a wider range of future opportunities as an illustrator, so learning new materials and techniques would be beneficial to my practice. Therefore, I would like to continue developing visual language skills towards ‘finding my voice’ and I am keen to learn new techniques, cross disciplines and explore new ways to communicate my ideas visually to create beautiful books and magazines both for children and adults.
My
initial practical research will start by visiting places and drawing on
location so I will need many many pencils and sketchbooks.
I am busy mum of 3 year old and need a bit of financial help as it's unbelievably hard to be a parent, student and work in a same time. Drawing was my passion since I can remember myself being little. For my Masters degreeI aim to explore the idea of observing modern society and human connection to nature to conceptualise and illustrate internal cities populated by human feelings, experiences and memories. I aim to capture the dream like visions and connect the parallels of human experiences of everyday life in the city and our connection to natural world. I like all things green, coffee and gardening but the drawing has always been my main interest that makes others to smile.
I absolutely fall in the work I do and I believe my audience can sense the energy and passion I put in all of my projects. Studying on MA will allow me to engage in the theoretical analysis and help me to take the creative turn of my practice in the right direction, allowing to fully engage in academic research and extending my understanding of the possibilities and development paths. I would like to advance my storytelling and illustration skills and research into children's and adult picture book market.
I'll post regular updates on my Instagram and update my website once my first experiments will be done. I do not expect to raise full funding from one source and I am researching possible funding options. Any help would be very much appreciated.
