our project

help beechwood pupils learn to fly!

We are looking to raise £641 in order to purchase a Mambo Basic (Parrot Education) drone kit (6 drones) for our pupils to use. Parrot Education's drones are programmable through an app, meaning our children could write code for them and then watch as their code comes to life in the sky.

About Beechwood Primary School

Beechwood Primary School is growing quickly and is popular within its community. Over 350 children (from ages 4 - 11) attend the school and work alongside 50 staff.

What do we want?

Who is this for?

This kit would be used to help pupils learn to code across the school. Children as young as four would learn and apply simple algorithms, whereas older pupils would create more complex looping sections of code.

Why we want this

We want to help our pupils enjoying coding, and what better way is there than this?! Having this kit could help create and inspire future STEM entrepreneurs and would allow children to really apply their learning.

Our pupils love computing and want to take their learning to the next level.
