Thank you so much for your continued donations to our crowdfunding appeal. As I write, the current total stands at £4,595, well over the original target set, with ten days to go until our appeal comes to an end.

Due to the original target being met and the Canon Duckworth being repaired in record time for May Bumps we have set a new aspirational target of £5,500 to try and build on what we have achieved before the appeal reaches its completion date on the 30 June. As well as new blades for W1 (who are now 8th on the river) this new target would provide us with enough money to purchase a reliable coxless pair for our rowers to train in.

From discussions within the club a pair would be the ideal new addition to the Club. As well as allowing rowers flexibility in training when they're free it would allow for MCR students to train with someone of their own ability during the holidays. The club is currently looking for a pair, but if anyone has any potential leads it would be great if you could get in contact.

If the new target is reached then any remainder will go towards tank sessions to train novice rowers in Michaelmas term. The club experimented with NM1 regularly using the tank in first term and the feedback from the rowers and the improvements made mean that we believe this would be a good investment. Each 1 hour session can accommodate 16 novices and costs £40 so any donations would be greatly appreciated.

hank you so much again for everyone who has supported our crowdfunding appeal thus far - we have been overwhelmed by the positive support and are very much looking forward to sending out a final update (together with the rewards) as soon as the project ends on the 30 June. If anyone is able to support us in this final push to reach our new target by sharing our crowdfunding page with anyone who might be interested in the project we would be most grateful!

Exams are in full swing but the amazing response to our appeal has put a massive smile on all our faces – thank you so much!!!

A huge thank you is owed to everyone who has so generously pledged to support our ‘Blades for victory!’ appeal thus far, and helped us reach our vital target to equip the W1 boat with a new set of blades in record time!

There are still seven weeks to run until the appeal ends on the 30 June and any additional sum raised will go towards the urgent repair costs for one of our Men’s boats; the Canon Duckworth, so please help us by continuing to share the project page with others who might be interested. We will send more updates as the campaign progresses. As a quick reminder, your donation will only be taken after the appeal reaches its completion date on June 30, at which point we will also provide a final update on the appeal and send out rewards.
