We are a British university choir of 28 dedicated student singers and 2 organ scholars based at The Queen’s College, part of the University of Oxford. We are extremely excited to be the first Oxford college choir to head to California to perform at the North American Alumni Reunion in San Francisco and the Queen's College Reunion at the home of Queen’s alumnus Eric Garcetti, Mayor of Los Angeles.

In the past, the choir has travelled to Europe, Asia and, ten years ago, New York and Washington DC. We cannot wait to return to the USA after such a long time.

The Oxford Times recently described our concert as ‘a performance of exceptional quality. The voices…fused so perfectly, and produced such a thrilling sound, that I had to fight the temptation to applaud every individual number.’

BBC Music Magazine described us as ‘radiant’ and Classic FM as ‘one of the world's most renowned choirs’.

We sing Choral Evensong in The Chapel of The Queen’s College three times a week and sing concerts each term, both in Oxford and across the UK. We put hours each week into the music we make together and it is a pleasure for us to be able to share our music with as many people as possible across the world.

We're kicking off in San Francisco with a joint concert with Stanford Chamber Chorale at the Memorial Church on the University campus. Then our main engagement, singing at Oxford University's Global Alumni Reunion, takes place in the renowned Ferry Building in front of the Chancellor, Vice Chancellor and around 600 alumni.

Before moving on to LA, we will sing a concert and two services at Grace Cathedral, San Francisco, the third largest Episcopal cathedral in the nation. Then we're on to a reception hosted by Mayor Eric Garcetti at his official residence, Getty House, in Los Angeles. Whilst in California, we will also sing at St John's Cathedral, LA, St James' by the Sea, La Jolla, and St Paul’s Cathedral and All Souls’ Church in San Diego.

As you can imagine, it is enormously expensive to get all of us to California – just over £36,000. Flights alone are costing £15,000, with accommodation coming in at £10,400 and local travel in California another £5,000. Each Choir member is covering their own food and associated day-to-day living costs.

We’ve organised all sorts of fundraisers: sponsored events, recitals, concerts and performances as well as auctioning singers to perform for the highest bidders. We hope the wider Queen's community will help us as we approach our deadline and crowdfund us across the Atlantic.

We need to raise just £6,000 more for our visit to go ahead! A further £4,000 would help reduce the cost of the trip to those who can least afford it.  Any more that we raise will go to the Music Fund to support future choir trips.

No gift is too small! By contributing to and sharing this page you will help bring our music to new audiences, and afford us invaluable performance opportunities as we proudly represent the University overseas.

Thank you very much for any support you are able to give us. Take a look at the rewards on offer to show our appreciation for your support - everything postcards from our trip, to personal quartet performances!
