The exhibition showcases works with a strong identity that both challenge and complement one another. The range of practices reflects a dedication to the making of high quality contemporary art, presented critically, whilst informed by the context of an historic legacy. Visitors will have the chance to engage with a dynamic and talented group of emerging artists and there will be a series of events running from 14 – 18th September. The show is also set to coincide with Open House London (http://www.openhouselondon.org.uk)
The MA Fine Art course at City & Guilds of London Art School focuses on a deep exploration of your own practice and its research territories and critical frameworks. Whether you are continuing after recently graduating in Fine Art or returning to study after some years as a practising artist (or from working in another related field), our aim is to help you to move beyond your current position, to exceed your expectations. We don’t believe in a ‘house style’; this is an Art School where your ambitions will be interrogated and supported and the end of year MA exhibition consistently demonstrates the distance our students have travelled through engagement in this intensive course.
In the current financial climate finding sponsors to support us has been very challenging. We hope to use crowdfunding as a means of reaching out for help while also making a more personal connection between the success of our show and its supporters.
The MA class of 2016 would like to ask for your assistance in putting on a really great show this September. We are a diverse group of artists making work that include a range of traditional and experimental techniques.
