Introduce your school
We are a lovely friendly primary school in Rhos on Sea, just a short hop skip and a jump from the beach. Our school motto is "TEAM: Together, Everyone Achieves More". Our pupils are at the heart of everything we do, we prove this by involving our pupils in the decision making for our school, either through our pupil led school council, pupil Eco committee, or our pupil planned Learning Together Weeks.
What do you want?
We want to purchase an online subscription for the multi award winning e-cadets scheme.
Who is this for?
Our whole school community will benefit, because once our e-cadets have started building their skills, they will be able to work with teachers to deliver effective online safety lessons and assemblies to other pupils, hold regular drop in sessions offering advice and guidance for pupils and just as importantly our parents and carers. The e- cadets will be keen volunteers from every year group within our school, regardless of academic ability. Our current digital wizards are all very keen to take part, as they already enjoy their role in school providing I.T. help and support to staff and. pupils alike.
Why do you want it?
We have been complemented on our use of ICT in school and are very proud of this. We are however very aware that increased use of ICT for pupils, both in and out of school, increases the need for really good, relevant and up-to-date online safety skills and advice. We believe the e-cadet scheme will help us to achieve this in a fun and lively way, that empowers our pupils to take the lead, which is very important to us as a school. The next generation e-safety program provides continual training and resources to help achieve this. Importantly to us, while facilitated by teachers, the scheme guides the e-cadets through the training and challenges, which are all pupil led.
Subscriptions to e-cadets to empower our school school costs:
Grand total: £850.00
Our pupils gain a lot from using technology well, and it a vital part of everyday life in many workplaces, but we are well aware of the risks and downsides too. Please help us to do our very best to ensure that our pupils get the most of of technology in a safe and balanced way.
