We are fundraising to help educate students and to get them involved on the issue of food access and insecurity in Baltimore City.

On this trip, students will be learning about the food disparity in the Baltimore area and will be able to work with policy makers and local organizations to understand the problem and the solutions of food insecurity. The focus of this trip is understanding how the placement of grocery stores can affect marginalized communities and how the lack of access to food can lead to problems in health and other factors.

We as students are ready to partner with local organizations to learn about the Baltimore community and to transform into social activist.

How you can help

Funds raised will go toward our housing costs, food, as well as transportation for the entire duration of the trip.

All funds raised are administered by the UMBC Foundation for the benefit of UMBC.
