Thank you so much for your support however, as you will see we are no longer taking donations on this page. This is due to a misunderstanding within the College about the expectations regarding our financial contribution to the Fountains Hall refurbishment. We now understand that the disabled lift and shower are already included in the scope and budget of the refurbishment and therefore do not require any additional funding.

The lift and shower will be installed as part of the Fountains Hall refurbishment due to take place in summer 2017. This is part of the University’s commitment to meet, and where possible exceed, all statutory requirements regarding disabled access provision.

We apologise for any confusion or concern caused. Clearly the crowd-sourced funding is not needed so we have stopped taking pledges.  None of the pledges that have already been made will be collected. If you made a pledge, we will be getting in touch to explain the situation.
