Strawberries In January
Southampton
Strawberries in January is a sharp romantic comedy that follows four young twenty-somethings trying to find their way in life and love. When Francois meets professor Robert while working in the coffee shop, he decides to set him up with ex-girlfriend Sophie. Meanwhile, Lea is back in town, determined to find her childhood pen-pal – but ends up finding a few more familiar faces than she expected. Heart-warming and with an intelligent comic voice, Strawberries unfolds the characters’ memories to tell their stories, and provides a touching look into their lives.
Gone Rogue Productions is the touring name of the theatrical performing arts societies from the University of Southampton. Strawberries in January is an uplifting comedy from SUSU Theatre Group which we're taking up to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. For more information about the Strawberries production team, click here. As can be seen below, our largest cost is venue hire, but it's not the only expensive part of the production. Taking a show to Edinburgh is an enormous financial commitment, but every Fringe is a unique, once in a lifetime experience for everyone involved. With ever decreasing support for the arts, the opportunity to perform at one of the world's biggest theatre festivals is really exciting, and with your support we can do that! We really want to make our performance the best it can be so we're seeking funding from lots of different sources including this crowdfunding project! Your donation is another vital way we can reach our overall goal. Any and all pledges are really important to us; the more money we raise, the better we can make our production!
- Venue hire (2 and a half weeks): £3300
- Performance rights: £1440

We've got some brilliant rewards up for grabs, both for people at home and for people coming up to Edinburgh! Please get involved and pledge to help us out! Even if you can't afford to make a donation, we'd really appreciate it if you could let other people know about our campaign and ask them to donate: every little helps!
Our production team will also be taking part in forfeits when we reach fundraising milestones, so if you'd like to see one of us wear a boiler suit full of beans or shaving one leg, please follow us for those announcements!
