Masters Degree in International Development at the Nottingham Trent University
I'm raising £25647.3 to
enable me study for a Masters of Art in International Development so i can
impact on the development of greater quality of life in the Niger Delta region
of Nigeria
About me
My name is Desmond
Dike from the impoverished Niger Delta Region of Nigeria. Earlier this year, I made
a successful application to the Nottingham Trent University,
United Kingdom to study for an MA in International Development. I have set up this page to ask for the
funding of my master’s program since i can’t afford to fund myself. I am a
hardworking and motivated person, I also do a lot of charity through volunteering.
At the moment I do volunteer at a project fundraiser for Little Big Heart Foundation,
where I have mapped out strategies to help raise funds to support persons at
internally displace camps in North East Nigeria
- What are you doing and why? i want to study for a masters in international
development at the Nottingham Trent University because i believe it has the
perfect learning environment for the subject area. Again studying in the
UK will give me the opportunity to do an internship with an organisation
from the developed world where i would be giving an opportunity to learn
from the field. The study of international development will enable
me build an understanding that can help eradicate poverty, reduce
inequality significantly and era of global justice.
- Why is this important to you? This is very important to me because of the level of
poverty, inequality, bad governance and environmental degradation in the
Niger Delta region of Nigeria and around the globe, all these have also
increase the level of insecurity. This Masters program will give me a
better understanding on how to formulate strategies and policies to
reduce, poverty, inequality, bad governance and environmental degradation
around the globe, thereby making the world a better place
- Why is it important to donate? it is important to pledge as you will be
helping to transform me into an international developer whose goal is to make
the world a better place
Where will the money go?
The money realized from this campaign will be
used for the funding of my Masters program, however if i realize more my
budget, the extra funds will be channel to someone else who can’t afford to
fund his/her education

mouth
