What we want
We want to set up a new computing learning area, equipped with a 3D printer and 5 Raspberry Pi kits.
Who is this for?
This is for our whole school, to use with Computing, and also to support Art and Design.
Why we want it
3D printing is a new area of technology that will have increasing application both in schools and in the workplace. We could use the printer in a variety of classes. More specifically, we are participating in an F1 racing car project, and if we had a 3D printer it would help us enormously with the project!
The Raspberry Pi kits would be really insightful for the children to explore the world of programming and building computers. Computer coding is a vital skill that more children and adults need to be familiar with, and we hope to make this change for the better in our school.
