our project

our school

At Hadleigh we understand the importance of learning: it is central to all we do. We expect our pupils to gain greater independence by providing the challenging learning experiences which empower them to be actively involved in their own learning, reflect on what they have learned and manage their work successfully. Developing our young people's confidence ensures they embrace opportunities to think creatively, engage with new ideas and develop the strong interpersonal skills which will be valued in their adult lives. We want our pupils to celebrate diversity and be prepared to contribute positively to life in modern Britain and beyond. In summary, our community view our purpose as:

Learning and growing together; each playing our part in changing the world for the better.

What do you want?

We are hoping to buy a laser engraving and cutting machine. It's equipped with a precision laser that will engrave almost anything on almost any surface. The machine can also be used for cutting many different materials.

Who is this for?

The laser engraver would be used across the school and all students undertaking Design and Technology, which would also enable robotic engineer to be explored with various Computer aided design programmes

Why do you want it?

We want to create inspiring designs using Computer Aided Manufacture and Computer Aided Design!

A Laser Cutter would would allow all students to explore Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Manufacture (CAM) using laser equipment that can showcase innovative creative design. It would also allow the development of 3D products and explore the precision of design.

This means students would be able to develop their designs with a creative output. It will allow students to explore precision design. It would allow students to develop and explore innovative design through CAD/CAM.

Please help our Suffolk School update the Design Technology Department to allow our students to explore Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM).

By contributing to this you are helping the next generation of creative, innovative, problem solvers, engineers, and designers that allows students to our creative crafts and projects to develop the growth in creative STEM subjects.
