Hey guys! My name is Jonathan Im, and I am currently attending Southern Adventist University as a Biology major. Starting in August, by God's grace, I will be teaching Health and PE at Pohnpei SDA High School in Micronesia.

My Story

Growing up and having the opportunity to attend mission trips with my family has been one of the greatest blessings. In summary, there are 3 things that I learned throughout my missions experience: 1) Many people still have not heard the good news 2) We need to rely solely on the strength of God as we bring people to Christ 3) Missions needs to be a daily and local event as well.

God has blessed me tremendously in multiple areas of my life. Service to God is my simple mantra when I envision my goal in life. I know that this experience will give me a taste of what I foresee my future to be. I pray that this experience can strengthen my relationship with Christ, and that I can share the love of Christ to ultimately bring honor and glory to His name.

Making the Dream a Reality

Each year Southern Adventist University sends out more than 60 full-time student missionaries. I have agreed to raise $3,600 for Southern's Student Missions program. The funds raised will collectively help cover our airfare, visas, insurance training, and care packages. I am excited to serve as a student missionary! Will you help me reach my goal? Whatever you are able to give is greatly appreciate by the 2018-19 student missionaries, the people we will serve, and also myself.

I know that not all of you may be able to give through monetary means, but I ask that you guys keep us in your prayers as my peers and I embark on an exciting journey! I would also really appreciate it if you could help me get the word out and share the link. Thank you so much for supporting me! It truly takes a village to raise and support a child, and none of this would have been possible without all your love, care, and support :)
