MY STORY

I am a sophomore, Elementary Education major at Southern Adventist University. I've known for quite a while that missions is were my heart lies. I've been counting down to this very moment since my junior year in high school! Being a student missionary is something that I have dreamed of and it's finally becoming a reality!

This next year I am planning to serve as a 1st grade on the island of Pohnpei, Micronesia. I'll spend 10 months on the island with a group of student missionaries from various universities. This will be an amazing opportunity to spread God's love and work my hardest for these kids. My passion lies with working with kids and this is a perfect opportunity to do so. I love art, photography, the outdoors, and traveling.

Going to Pohnpei is such an amazing opportunity to take a leap of faith and spend time focusing on God's purpose for me. I'm excited to go and spend a year with a group of 1st graders who I can shower in love and teach more about God. This is such a valuable opportunity that I know will impact me for the rest of my life. I'm taking this year as the first step in following God's amazing plan for me.

I have agreed to raise $3,600 for Southern's Student Missions program. The funds we raise will help cover our airfare, visas, insurance training, and care packages. I am excited to serve as a student missionary. Will you help me reach my goal? Whatever you are able to give is greatly appreciate by the 2018-19 student missionaries, the people we will serve, and also myself.

I'm excited to be able to pursue these interests during my time in Pohnpei.

how can i help?

I need YOUR help! You don't necessarily have to give money to help me succeed. Helping me promote my trip to Pohnpei and remembering me in your prayers are some of the biggest ways you can help Please share this project with anyone you think would be interested in supporting my trip - on Facebook, Instagram, by email, telephone, chatting in person, or on your blog. I would be very grateful if you decided to donate or help me my promote my year in Pohnpei. Every little bit helps in making this a reality! Thank you so much for your consideration and assistance in helping me get to those 1st graders.
