We are a big school of 330 students with a small school, community feel. We have a great mixture of children and families from different backgrounds, cultures and children speak over 24 different languages. Many parents work at the local hospital and university.
We are based in Exeter, and have a brilliant team of very hard working staff who put 100% into the school. We are lucky to have a Forest School area with a pond, fire pit and trees. I have been at the school for three years and we haven't been able to invest in computing equipment for some time, although we have got a computer suite!
We would love to buy iPads for our nursery. The nursery building is the furthest away from the computer suite and the set of 15 iPads that we share between all 330 children!
Our nursery pupils are probably the most tech-savvy year group but struggle to access the computers in nursery that are mouse-controlled. They are the touch screen generation!
We want to use q-codes, coding programmes and bring their learning to life with an iPad for each key worker group. We'd love for them to be able to capture their learning with a photo and be able to share that with parents using "tapestry", an online programme that tracks learning through observations made by adults.
