About Me

I'm Lauren, a 22 year old chemistry PhD student at the University of Edinburgh. When I am not in university I spend most of my time trampolining with City of Edinburgh Trampoline Club. I started the sport when I started university aged 17, after spending most of my life doing gymnastics, and immediately fell in love with it. A few years later I decided I wanted to train more seriously in the sport and began training with CIty of Edinburgh Trampoline Club.

Since joining the club in 2011 I have won many medals, winning Scottish National Trampoline Championships at my level in both 2011 and 2012. I also started training in the sport Double Mini Trampolining (DMT - see videos), my best achievement in this being a gold medal at a British Gala in 2013. I am now competing on the British circuit in both trampolining and DMT after working my way up the levels and qualified to compete in British National Championships 2012 and 2013. I also represented Scotland at the Home Nations competition in 2012 for DMT.

My Project

As a club we are attending our first international competition to compete in both trampolining and DMT in September 2013 in Loule, Portugal. This is an expense trip so I am trying to raise money towards travel, accomodation, kit and competition entry costs for this exciting event.
