Locked in with... is a music chat show that presents new music from the Drum and Bass scene. We want to shine a light on the artists who are making, performing and promoting music within a scene that is beyond the mainstream.
Our show is giving live music back to people at home - at a time when they are figuring out the 'new normal'.
Each week a different style of music from the Drum and Bass genre will feature. The musicians will show off their talents within their specialist area of the genre and tell the audience more about their music.
Our pilot episode will feature musical performances and sit-down interviews with the musical act, My Bad Sister.
(My Bad Sister, 2020)
With concerts, festivals and many areas within the Creative Arts being put on hold over 2020 and for the foreseeable future, Locked in with... is paving the way for the return of live music in a different way and bringing artists back to the stage, where they belong!
All crew members will be fellow classmates and tutors from the BA (Hons) Television Production course at Middlesex University. We have all worked together throughout our time at Middlesex and look forward to applying all we have learnt into this production.
Locked in with... will be recorded in Studio A at Middlesex University. The facilities at Middlesex were designed by Sony and comply with current broadcast standards, providing us with access to state-of-the-art technology and equipment.
The recording of Locked in with... will take place in February 2021 in accordance with all up-to-date Government COVID regulations and laws.
Keeping our set COVID secure means we will have hand sanitiser throughout the studio and surrounding area of the university, all crew and talent must wear face coverings and maintain a social distance, and we'll be undertaking regular cleaning of the studio.
All crew members must also have completed and passed the Screenskills Coronavirus Basic Awareness Training and submitted certificates before production begins.
We plan to dress the studio with some UV paintings and have a chat show area as well as a separate performance area.
