grease is the word

This semester we're putting on Grease; the swinging 1950s rock-and-roll musical by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey. Yes, you know it - the musical that spawned the classic movie Grease, featuring the moves and vocals of John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John.

The musical follows ten teenagers through the highs and lows of Rydell High School, with lots of wop ba ba lu mop and wop bam booms along the way! It is a true coming-of-age story, tackling issues of teenage love, experiments with alcohol and cigarettes, school stereotypes and transformations.

As we are a student-run society our funds are very limited. We have to rely on the money we make on each show in order to continue putting on full-scale musicals. As acquiring the rights and tech for shows is expensive, and we don't charge our audiences much, we sometimes struggle to afford everything a good production needs.

With your contribution you will help pay for the rights, tech, costumes, props and promotion. Anything you're willing to donate is very much appreciated and will be used in some way or another towards the show!
