Why Giving Day?

When you joined the Messiah community as a student, a parent, an employee or a friend, you became a Falcon for life. Giving Day is a celebration of you, our community, our history and our future. For 24 hours, the Falcon community is coming together to make history by raising $100K in one day to support every transformational aspect of the Messiah College experience.

What Makes My Gift on Giving Day Special?

On February 9th, your gift has an even greater impact than usual thanks to a handful of generous alumni and friends offering unprecedented challenges for their fellow Falcons.

All gifts made on Giving Day will be matched up to $37,000 and will help the Falcon community unlock these matching funds. Every gift, no matter the size, counts towards the matching challenge. A very special thank you to the donors sponsoring this generous match -- President Kim & Mr. Kelly Phipps, Phil ('87) & Ruth Anne Engle, J-Lynn ('56) & Harriet ('58) Conrady, Linda (MC Trustee) & Tom Pheasant, John (MC Trustee) & Suzanne Wagner, Ken ('91) & Kristyn Krutenat, Thomas ('88) & Heather Mann, and two anonymous donors.

Support What Matters to You!

Messiah College offers a transformative educational experience, but not every student's experience is the same. On Giving Day, support the area that has had the greatest impact on you!

  • The Messiah Fund - Our "greatest needs fund", the Messiah Fund supplements tuition, supports scholarship money for 98% of our student body, and helps to provide resources for many other areas on campus. To learn more, click here .
  • The Agape Center for Service and Learning -¬†Through the Agape Center, students, faculty, and staff work with community-based partners in local, national, and international settings to address community needs, to provide holistic learning opportunities for students, and to encourage students toward an ethic of discipleship, service, and civic engagement. To learn more, click here , and watch the video below to hear five Messiah students explain what service means to them.

  • Athletics - The mission of the Falcon Athletic Network (FAN) is to promote enthusiasm and financial support for Messiah's athletic programs. It is the primary way through which the Falcon Athletics Department can go beyond operating budgets to provide student-athletes, coaches, and fans with experiences that make Messiah College one of the premier locations for NCAA Division III athletics. By supporting the FAN you are supporting efforts to enhance student-athlete experience, to increase visibility of Messiah Athletics among alumni, parents, and community friends, and also to generate revenue for current and future athletics priority projects. To learn more, click here , and watch the below video for an introduction to Falcon athletics.

  • The Collaboratory - The Collaboratory currently houses 41 projects made up of multidisciplinary teams of students, professionals, and partners. Members of these projects are inventing and implementing solutions to needs in our community and around the world by applying their academic discipline, essentially bringing their classroom experience to life with hands on applications. To learn more, click here , and watch the video below for more information on one of the Collaboratory's projects.

Bonus Challenges
