/ About me!

Hello! My name is Michael Baranda and I am currently a junior at Southern Adventist University (SAU) studying Religious Studies and Medical Laboratory Science while taking the pre-requisite courses for medicine: my ultimate goal.

/ My missions story.

At a young age, I knew that serving God and missions would have a significance in my life. Seen in the video above, I have been blessed to be a part of three short-term mission trips. From those experiences I have learned that:

  • We must continually spread Jesus' love locally and globally. (Matthew 28:19, 20)
  • Fellowship is an integral aspect of ministry. (Acts 2:46)
  • The Holy Spirit can do incredible things. (1 Corinthians 12:7)

I am incredibly excited for this new opportunity God has given me, ultimately to bring honor and glory to His name!

/ / The call

/ Koror, Palau

I feel called to serve as a medical missionary in Palau at the Palau Adventist Wellness Center from August - December 2018 .

/ The role.

I will be assisting the local medical professionals of the wellness center five days of the week, whether through health education or dental work, to name a few. I will also have the opportunity to interact through home visitations, fellowship through prison ministry, help with the Pathfinder group and minister to the students at the local academies.

/ / THE Answer

/ Be a part.

Each year SAU sends out more than 60 full-time student missionaries. I have agreed to raise $3,600 for Southern's Student Missions program. The funds raised will collectively help cover our airfare , visas , insurance training , and care packages .

/ Prayers.

Although monetary means is greatly appreciated, I know that may not be possible , but I ask that you keep myself and all the student missionaries in your prayers as we partake in this incredible opportunity.

/ Sharing is caring!

Along with your prayers, I would deeply appreciate if you could share this page across social media or through word-of-mouth . Whether it be Facebook , Instagram , or Snapchat , anything is appreciated!

/ Keep in touch!

I'll be posting some awesome experiences of the Holy Spirit working and of the beautiful people and places that I will meet and see. And if you feel convicted to send me a quick e-mail about anything, my e-mail is below! Also, don't hesitate to contact me if you have any burdens or prayers; I'll be more than happy to pray for you !

/ / Thank you

Thank you again for your time in getting to know a little bit about me and my journey in glorifying God! I am truly grateful for your help whether it be through donation, prayers, or sharing this page, anything is greatly appreciated .
