Hello, everyone!

I am Pinky from the Philippines. Last year (2016-2017), in pursuit of my dream, I applied for Master of Laws (LL.M.) programs in the US and got accepted in Boston College Law School with a Merit Scholarship of $10,000.00. Even with that scholarship, I was not able to pursue that LL.M. opportunity because of the overwhelming cost. This year, I applied to the University of San Diego School of Law’s LL.M. in Comparative Law Program last February 14 and fortunately got an acceptance letter last February 23. I am so excited and happy because they awarded me a Merit Scholarship of $15,000.00. Nonetheless, I still can't fund the entire cost of my LL.M. studies.

The total cost estimate given to me by the school is $57,084 ((P45,500 tuition minus $15,000) + $16,327 housing/food + $10,257 health insurance, etc.).

I need a Form I-20 issued by the school to support my Visa application but the school will only issue the form if I have evidence of financial capacity to support myself. I am willing to work but I could not work off-campus as an international student under a student visa. I can work on-campus but I could only apply when I'm already there and will only be allowed to work for a maximum of 20 hours per week.

That is why I am here asking for your help to fund my LL.M. study goal!

Before the school will process my I-20, I need to make a deposit of $200 on April 1, 2018. I am personally selling my mortgaged car and looking for other funds to fund this deposit, my passport, visa, plane ticket, and other expenses.

I am humbly appealing for your support in this lifelong goal of mine.

I will share my journey when I'm there, hopefully with your awesome help.

Thank you very much in advance!
