Help fund great experiences

Donations big or small can truly make a difference in what we can offer our current students.

• If we raise $500, we can organize student trips to the Folger Shakespeare Library, the Walters Art Museum, or the Creative Alliance.
• With $1,000, we could send a student to a conference or to an archive to conduct research. The English department would love to host a speakers series for our students and the public, which could include bringing in talented creative writers and journalists from around the country.
• A series like this is currently out of range for us, but a $5,000 gift would fund its first year..

Together English alumni can make a big difference in the future of our department and UMBC. Please consider donating this year to our department as we celebrate UMBC’s 50th anniversary. Through a gift to the English department, you can play a transformative role in the life of the university and UMBC students for the next 50 years to come.
