Thank you so much!

We've said it before, but we genuinely cant thank you for enough for donating towards our expedition. The crowd funding process has been a blast and we've loved the engagement we've received and the excitement others have shown towards the project.

The next step is for us to actually go out there and do what we've been planning to do for over a year. Matt and Rosie fly out to Kuala Lumpur on the 9th of August and will be back in the UK on the 22nd of September. If you want to stay updated on our progress, then make sure you're following the facebook and instagram pages linked below:

If you don't have access to either of these platforms, then please send me an email at: and I will add you to an email list where you can receive information on our progress.

We've already laid the foundations for the donation rewards and will be ready to sort them all out once we get back in September. So stay tuned for more updates and again, a massive thank-you for supporting our project. It means so much to us to have so many people behind something we've all worked incredibly hard to make a reality!

Lots of love,

The Usun Apau Retraced Team xxxx

We made it to £4000!

Thank-you to everyone who donated! Your generosity has been amazing and we really don't know what to say. This expedition has been a year in the making and its been fantastic to see it all come together over that time.

We'll have more info soon on how you can follow our progress and also on the donation rewards that we promised! In the mean time, please keep sharing the crowd funding page with your friends. Even a small donation is really helpful and with only 3 days left, every little help!

All the best,

The Usun Apau Retraced Team!

We're so almost there!!!!!

A massive thank-you to all of you amazing 45 sponsors that have donated so far! We've been blown away by the generosity of everyone and the support we've been given throughout the crowd funding process.

However we are not quite there yet, with only £69 remaining before we reach our minimum goal of £4000! You can help us reach this by sharing the page on your facebook or letting your friends and family know that we need their help! If we surpass our goal, all the money we raise will go towards obtaining better equipment and more solar charging gear that we can gift to locals in the area!

We really appreciate your willingness to help 3 young wanabe conservation researchers and will definitely not forget the support this expedition has received. Please keep donating/ contacting those who can! We only have 12 days left of crowd funding and 16 days before we leave for the expedition so if you know anyone who has already thought about donating, now is the time to ask them again!

All the best,

The Usun Apau Retraced Team!

Hello all and a huge thank-you to everyone who has donated so far!

You've made us all very happy and we're so excited to have everyone supporting us on our adventures to Borneo! WE ARE ALMOST HALF WAY THERE!!! Which is an amazing achievement, but we need to keep going! If you can share the crowd funding page with your friends, let them know you've donated, and spread the word about the aims of our expedition, that WOULD BE AMAZING!

I have a quick update on some of the changes we made to our donations and also on our social media!

Donations rewards:

I've now changed the reward for the £50 donation to receiving a signed copy of one of our photos! For those who already claimed this reward - DO NOT FEAR - you will still get your reward and you will also still be credited on our reports etc.

I've added a £20 donation reward - claiming this reward will get your name plastered somewhere on our video/report/website - so you'll go down in the annals of the Oxford University Exploration Club history - as well as the RGS. Everyone who has donated above £20 will be credited!

Social media:

We're starting to hit the big time with this - with Matt making an appearance on BBC radio Cumbria, Oxford_Uni accounts sharing our stuff and lots more exciting things to come (Perhaps a TV slot?????). Keep tuned into our accounts and smash the like button on anything we post - it really helps get more people interested and gets the word out to others who may be yet to discover us!

Again thank you so much for donating and make sure you keep sharing our page - you honestly cant do it enough - the more people that see the page the better!!!!

Lots of love
