About us

Welland Academy is a Primary School in Peterborough. As a school, we are striving to provide exciting learning opportunities for the children and inspire them to reach their dreams.

Who is this for?

This project is to provide equipment that can be used across the whole school, right the way from the little ones in Reception to the tall Year 6s.

Why do we want it?

We are seeking to buy some equipment to go in our Computing Hub. We want to engage pupils in their learning in all areas of the curriculum by using everyday 'games' and technology to support their learning. For example, competing with your friend on Wii Sports and recording results of Ski jumps on a grid, playing a simulation game and reporting to the class what happens, solving treasure hunting games and writing instructions as to how to solve problems, creating and recording music, dancing to the latest music and creating your own moves. The possibilities are endless.

We would like this technology to inspire and energize our pupils' learning, so they are engaged and excited about each lesson that takes place. They will be having fun, without even realising they are learning!
