Academi Hywel Teifi has launched an appeal to establish a new scholarship in memory of the late Professor Hywel Teifi Edwards.
The Hywel Teifi Memorial Scholarship will aim to support Welsh-medium postgraduate students who wish to study a field related to Hywel Teifi's contribution to Welsh learning and culture, specifically:
• History
• Literature
• The Welsh language
• Politics
• Media
• Drama
• Religion
• Cultural Studies
This year, Swansea University will celebrate its centenary, and it will be a decade since the Academi was established at Swansea in memory of Hywel Teifi, where he spent 30 years as a lecturer.
Academi Hywel Teifi is asking people to contribute to the scholarship either on a monthly basis by clicking here ( https://www.swansea.ac.uk/academi-hywel-teifi/celebrate/hywel-teifi-memorial-fund/hywel-teifi-scholarship/) or through a one off donation by clicking the 'Support' button on this page. The intention is to award the first recipient at the National Eisteddfod in Ceredigion, Hywel Teifi Edwards' birthplace.
Select this reward if you just want to donate to the project without receiving a reward.
