My name is Zach Henski and I am a senior theology major at Southern Adventist University. A group of eight students, myself included, have decided to dedicate a year of our lives to serve as missionaries in Peru. This group is made up of students from all different majors and walks of life with the common goal of spreading the gospel to those in need while working with Amor Projects in Pucallpa.

All Southern Adventist University student missionaries are expected to help raise funds to support the Student Missions program. I need your support to help me and other student missionaries serve around the world. Would you please consider supporting the Student Mission program at Southern and helping me reach my goal of $5,200?

My Story

Ever since falling in love with Jesus I knew that I wanted to be a missionary. My freshman year at Southern left me enthralled with stories from former student missionaries and ignited my passion to become a missionary. However, at the end of my freshman year, and even at the end of my sophomore year, I didn't feel like it was the right time to go as God was guiding me down different paths. Finally, this past year I felt a strong sense that God was leading me to become a missionary before I finished my final year at Southern.

I am extremely excited to serve in Peru! I've known others who have served in Peru as student missionaries. The stories of the great need there made my heart go out to the people of Peru. During our time in Peru, we will focus on Bible work in the community in conjunction with the community medical clinic through Amor Projects. I am excited to be a part of this team as I will be pushed outside of my comfort zone. I want to follow Christ's example who came to this world not to be served, but to serve others.

You can follow me on Facebook (Zach Henski), and Instagram (henskiz) for updates during my trip. You can also check those sites for a future link to my blog.

Help us succeed!

We need your help in order to succeed! First of all, this would not be possible without God's help and the power of prayer. I am asking that you would please support our group by lifting us up in prayer, as we prepare for this trip and also during the entire trip I ask for your continued prayers.

I have a hefty goal in front of me but I believe that God can work miracles. If you are not in the position to donate you can still help! Please share this page with as many people as possible whether it's through social media or word of mouth. The more people who know about it, the more likely this will become a reality.

And though it is true that you do not need to give money in order to help, if you are able to do so it would be much appreciated! I can't do this without you and I thank you for taking the time to help!
